What Advocates Do
Listen & Support
Provide compassionate, non-judgmental listening to those in crisis
Connect Resources
Help navigate complex systems and connect with verified services
Maintain Safety
Follow trauma-informed protocols that prioritize survivor safety
Pray & Encourage
Offer spiritual support when welcomed, pointing to hope in Christ
Requirements
- Background Check: All advocates must pass a background check for the safety of those we serve
- Training: Complete our trauma-informed care training program (online, ~8 hours)
- Commitment: Minimum 4 hours per month availability for 6 months
- Character: Demonstrate integrity, compassion, and respect for confidentiality
- Faith: Align with our mission to serve others in the love of Christ
